Cookie policy

In accordance with the provisions of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on information society services and electronic commerce, with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, General Data Protection Regulation and with Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on Data Protection and guarantee of digital rights, EV FINANCE SPAIN S. L. provides users with the following information regarding the cookies it uses on its websites.

What are cookies?

Cookies are files sent to a browser by means of a web server to record the activities of the user on a particular website. The main purpose of cookies is to provide the user with faster access to the selected services. In addition, cookies personalise the services offered by the website, providing and offering each user information that is of interest or that may be of interest to them based on their use made of the services.

The website uses cookies to personalise and facilitate the user’s browsing experience as much as possible. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and their computer and do not provide references that allow us to deduce the user’s personal data. The user may configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by the web, without prejudice to the user’s ability to access the contents of the website. However, we would like to point out that this may impair the functionality of the website.

Registered users who register or who have logged in will be able to benefit from more personalised services tailored to their profile thanks to the combination of the data stored in cookies and the personal data used at the time of their registration. These users expressly authorise the use of this information for the stated purpose, without prejudice to their right to refuse or disable the use of cookies.

In addition, the website will be able to know which services have been requested by users, thus enabling the provision or offer of information tailored to the preferences and tastes of each user.

What types of cookies exist?

Depending on their permanence, cookies can be divided into:

Session cookies These expire when the user closes the browser.

Persistent cookies These expire depending on when the purpose for which they are used (for example, to keep the user logged in to services) is fulfilled or when they are manually deleted. Depending on their owner, they can be divided into:

Own cookies These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor themselves and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third-party cookies These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but rather by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.

Additionally, depending on their purpose, cookies may be classified as follows:

Performance cookies This type of cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the services; this removes the need to reconfigure the service every time you visit. By way of example, this typology includes:

  • Volume adjustments for video or sound players.
  • The video transmission speeds that are supported by your browser.

Geolocation cookies These cookies are used to find out which country you are in when you request a service. This cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help target content to your location.

Registration cookies Registration cookies are generated once the user has registered or subsequently logged in, and are used to identify the user in the services for the following purposes:

  • To keep the user identified so that, if they close a service, browser or computer and at another time or day re-enter that service, they will remain identified, thus facilitating browsing without having to identify themselves again. This functionality can be suppressed if the user clicks on ‘Log out’, thus deleting the cookie. The next time the user enters the service, they will have to log in to be identified.
  • To check whether the user is authorised to access certain services, for example, to enter a contest.

Analytical cookies Each time a user visits a service, a tool from an external provider generates an analytical cookie on the user’s computer. This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used in future visits to the web services to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives are:

  • To allow the anonymous identification of browsing users through the cookie (identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate counting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
  • To anonymously identify the most visited and therefore most attractive content for users.
  • To know if the user who is logging in is new or whether it is a repeat visit.

Important: Unless the user decides to register for a web service, the cookie will never be associated with any personal data that could identify them. These cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help to optimise the user experience on the site.

Behavioural advertising cookies This type of cookies makes it possible to expand the information of advertisements shown to each anonymous user in the web services. Among other aspects, it stores the duration or frequency of advertising views, interaction with them and the browsing and/or sharing patterns of the user as they help to form a profile for advertising interests. In this way, they make it possible to offer advertising related to the interests of the user.

Third-party advertising cookies In addition to advertising managed by the website through its services, the website offers its advertisers the option of providing ads through third parties (‘ad servers’). This way, such third parties may store cookies sent by the website services from users’ browsers, as well as access the data stored in them.
